I do love a dancing bird. This species is found in the northern parts of Europe, and across the Palearctic to Siberia.
Although a monogamous pair may be together for several years, the courtship rituals of cranes are still enacted each spring. The dancing of common cranes have complex social meanings; their moves may include bobs, bows, pirouettes, and a couple will still dance seemingly for the fun of it even when nesting.
